About me
Madlen Poguntke
"Follow your dreams: they know the way!"
The flutist Madlen Poguntke received flute lessons at the age of 5. Prizes at Jugend musiziert followed and made the desire to make music a career grow. Concerts in school orchestras, brass bands and as a soloist paved the way for studying music in Regensburg. At the University of Catholic Church Music and Music Education, she began her Bachelor of Music major in flute, which she completed in 2017 with a 1.0. The parallel teacher training course for grammar schools was successfully completed at the same time as the 1st state examination. It was there that the flutist discovered her passion for playing the piano.
Further studies followed, with master classes at Prof. Dr. Eckhart Haupt, the Freiburg Ensemble Academy, Barthold Kuijken (Belgium), Mario Caroli (Italy), Daniel Kessner (America), Jonathan Sells (England), Bertrand Cuiller (France) and many more.
Concerts and CD recordings have taken her to the New Castle in Stuttgart, to the Kurtheater in Bad Kissingen, to the Olympic Hall and to the Philharmonie im Gasteig in Munich, to the Audimax and theatre in Regensburg, to Freiburg and Würzburg.
With her music, the flutist is also involved in charity campaigns: including "Himbisa Mukama" for school construction in Uganda, benefit concerts in Munich for the foundation "People for People, Karlheinz Böhm's Ethiopia Aid", in Regensburg for children's hospitals in East Bavaria and the Guardian Angel donation gala in Leipzig, which campaigns for people suffering from cystic fibrosis.
